Nike Sportswear x Fragment Design “Noise” T-Shirt

Once again Nike Sportswear and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design link up for a classic. As part of the Spring/Summer 2009 Collection we will see the "Noise" t-shirt. Classic Nike Swoosh and instead of the Nike font logo it reads "Noise". The idea is simple, yet strong and nicely plays with the signature Nike logo. Some people might need a second look to even realize that it does not say Nike. A small fragment logo is printed below the neck on the back. The t-shirt comes in a series of colorways and is now available at Nike Sportswear retailers.

Nike Sportswear x Nylon Magazine Dunk Hi Pack

Nylon’s collaborative project with Nike Sportswear, the Dunk-Hi Pack, finally made its debut in the May issue of the magazine. Nylon recruited several friends such as designers Dee and Ricky and Pegleg to don these new fluorescent neon Dunk-His for the spread.

These cheery colored Dunk-His feature a leather/nylon upper with Nylon’s multicolored logo tag sewn on the tongue, and a large Nylon print logo on the sides. Worry not about the side logo being flashy as the logo is so large it becomes very discreet. These flashy numbers are kept simple, adorned only with the iconic Nike Swoosh and the Nylon logo.

These shoes will be available in 5 colorways soon on June 1st at Urban Outfitters and select Nike retailers.

Nike Sportswear NSW SS09- April Releases

A new selection of Nike Sportswear Spring/Summer 09 apparel items are now released. This latest collection released includes the Gradient Grid Shell Jacket, Gradient Board Short and Dri-Fit The Standard Tee. The Gradient Grid Shell Jacket is an eye-catching piece which features gradation check prints to create a spectrum-look. The hooded 100% polyester light-weight jacket features an extra chest pocket, aside from the two regular side pockets, for extra storage. They come in Medium Blue, Black and Electrolime. The Gradient Board Short from this same release features the same gradation check prints as the jacket. They are chloride-resistant and made with quick-dry nylon. Nike Air Yeezy by Kanye West- Zen Grey

The shoe which takes Kanye West’s nickname Yeezy, draws upon the innovations from Nike’s rich sporting history and fuses them with original lines, materials, and design elements that reflect West’s unique style.

West is known for his non-stop energy both on the stage and off so the Air Yeezy had to support and sustain West from start to finish. An almost obsessive focus was put on delivering supreme comfort throughout the development of the shoe. Equipped with debossed ankle collar pods for added support and protection, extra-thick sock liners, a forefoot support strap, original functional tension lace loops, and Phylon tooling taken from the 1987 Nike Air Assault for added performance and comfort—all developed and integrated with one goal in mind: to keep Kanye on lock down in cushioned comfort during his performances during his many notoriously strenuous artistic live performances.

These performance attributes have been meticulously wrapped in premium full grain leather uppers and adorned with original design details that are uniquely Kanye and identifiably Nike. The remastered Nike Air Assault outsole is treated to glow-in-the-dark properties and will illuminate when the light is low. The forefoot support strap is premium grade patent leather and is of no-stitch construction. Clean seams are used throughout except for a premium suede toe wrap feature with visible stitch detail. Emblazoned across the Air Yeezy is an exclusive “Y” repeat pattern, as either a debossed or lasered detail, which takes inspiration from the Jordan brands iconic Elephant print material. This graphic treatment was developed by West and Smith to pay tribute not only to the name of the shoe and it’s co-creator, but also to the various moments in history that spurred West’s initial inspiration for the Nike Air Yeezy.

The team of 180g will be at the Nike Paris store from April 9th and then one will be able to choose a product from the store and get it custom colorized from 180g.
