Expect Nike to be able to make the most of one of the worlds most successful animations, come blockbuster films. With the premiere of the Transformers sequel set to make waves around the world so to are the Nike Zoom Flight Club, Nike Zoom FP and Nike Sharkalaid that come complete with special packaging, retro graphics to complete an interesting project.
Hasbro and Nike have come together in defining fashion for this exciting project, which may seem a bit childish but once you look past that playful sense you can admire the presence of both parties coming together. Transformers having begun out more than 25 years ago, the good and evil is represented in this collaboration while Nike have left no detail unturned. The shoe packaging mimics the nostalgic toy boxes complete with original Hasbro graphics, J-hooks for hanging display and decoder profiles on the back of the boxes that highlight each robot’s powers.
So if you are a fan of the film, or for that matter just wants some new sneakers get your hands on special colorways honoring the Transformers characters Megatron (Nike Zoom Flight Club), Soundwave (Nike Sharkalaid) and Bumblebee (Nike Zoom
FP).

Known for his sometimes provocative and women-centric themes to his work, the Nike Sportswear x INSA “Looking for Love” exhibition was arguably centerpieced by his work on the “INSA Vortex” which engulfed the room. Smaller works included some pieces which play on some of INSA’s popular icons such as the usage of pink and element of femininity. In addition, some pieces INSA were removed from their original spots and also brought in for showcasing.
Nike Sportswear has been steadily progressed since its inception in 2008 and every season the collection is getting better. The footwear is looking good, but much more impressive is the new found emphasis on the apparel section of the collection. Innovative materials, design and aesthetic meet all together in the collection, offering a strong and full collection. For Fall 2009 Nike Sportswear introduces some fantastic jackets, including varsity jackets, fishtail technical jackets, as well as new versions of their already popular taped M-65 jacket.

Nike Sportwear and the Undefeated project CTRS,
it’s all about cycling and the previously announced Nike Sportwears Tiempo “The Cutters” Pack is a part of this same project. As you may have guessed CTRS is short for The Cutters, a group of 8 worldwide riders including Undefeated’s Jupiter Desphy, DQM’s Kyle Demers and Lance Armstrong himself. Undefeated La Brea is now holding a contest to win a UNDFTD/CTRS fixed gear bike. The bike was built in Japan by UNDFTD and a Master kierin race bike builder, and is a fully functional 54cm, left side drive bicycle. To enter to win is easy. Just cruise down to the shop on La Brea, buy a Livestrong band for 1 buck, receive a form to enter and win. Of course, all proceeds go toward the research for the cure of cancer. All other UNDFTD locations will have bands and forms in the very near future.
The winner will be announced June 28th at an event that will be revealed shortly. For more info on TEAM CTRS, Air Zoom Tiempos, the bikes and other bits stay tuned to Nikesportswear.com/thectrs.
